LAURISTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

This project successfully translated the ‘Lauristonness’ of the existing 1FE ‘outstanding’ school into a new school of double the size. The brief to increase capacity and keep the existing school open was achieved through innovative use of prefabricated CLT panels to careful phasing from early playground works (Lily Pads) and School Keepers House (SK House) to decant and final phases.

The project received an RIBA National Education Award in 2012.
