This framework plan and regeneration strategy was commissioned to explore a range of possible scenarios to inform planning and regeneration policy and to maximise regeneration benefits in a way that builds a strong identity and cohesive urban structure for Erith. It aims at reversing the process of fragmentation caused by the decline in river trade and industry, to build a new identity by re-connecting Erith to the river, to increase residential capacity and to support development of the town centre to better provide for the local community.
