A new highly sustainable timber framed house and annexe within the estate of Wyecliff overlooking the Wye valley on the outskirts of Hay-on-Wye.  It is part self-build by the owners of the estate working in collaboration with a local timber frame fabricator and local craftsmen.  The cladding uses local timber charred on site to create a simple black form reminiscent of agricultural buildings within the surrounding rural area.
